The New Map of Tbilisi project is initiated by One Architecture and is done in collaboration with FAST the Foundation for Achieving Seamless Territory.

One Architecture

One Architecture is an Amsterdam-based planning and architecture firm. Since 1995, One has worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging from the design for luxury villas to the organization of the Atelier Delta Metropolis for the Dutch Ministry of Spatial Planning.

One Architecture’s approach in dealing with complexity has resulted in successful projects which include the much discussed design for Les Halles in Paris (with OMA and XDGA) in 2004, urban plans for Deventer, Eindhoven and Tbilisi (Georgia), and various building projects in Europe and the UAE.

One Architecture is directed by Matthijs Bouw. He is also professor i. V at the RWTH Aachen and teaches in the Netherlands and in Los Angeles, and publishes and lectures widely. Recently, a monograph was published in the DD Design series.

FAST

FAST is a Non Governmental Organization that aims at making visible and countering the reality of human rights violation caused by architecture and planning.

FAST wants to contribute to a seamless world where different ethnic, religious and socio-economics groups profit from just planning solutions and thus equal living conditions; a world where designers, architects and planners are engaged in creating better and sustainable living environments for all.

FAST is doing that by connecting human rights values to architecture and planning and people's desires to decision makers.

FAST projects are taking place in Israel - Palestine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Netherlands.
